Job Description

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head Coach – Unified Golf.

The Head Coach will provide leadership for the District's Unified Golf program by fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all student-athletes. The successful candidate will plan and supervise practices and competitions, promote sportsmanship and teamwork, ensure student safety, and oversee all aspects of the program in accordance with District, Section XI, and NYSPHSAA guidelines.

• Season Start: November 16, 2026
• Location: Southampton High School

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all team practices and competitions.
• Foster an inclusive team environment that promotes participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Teach the fundamentals, rules, and strategies of golf while encouraging skill development.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletic Department.
• Maintain compliance with District policies, Section XI regulations, and NYSPHSAA requirements.
• Perform other coaching-related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport of golf.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous coaching or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Compensation

Compensation will be in accordance with the Southampton Teachers Association (STA) Agreement, Schedule C – Interscholastic Coaching Positions.
