Southampton Union Free School District is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve as a Leave Replacement at Southampton Elementary School.
The BCBA will work closely with students, teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs while ensuring the implementation of evidence-based practices in accordance with students' IEPs.
Position Details
Appointment Type: Leave Replacement Location: Southampton Elementary School Assignment Period: September 2, 2026 – November 20, 2026 Salary: In accordance with the Southampton Teachers Association (STA) Agreement.
Responsibilities
Provide direct and consultative IEP-mandated behavioral services to students across elementary grade levels.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Design and implement proactive, positive behavior support strategies that promote student success in the classroom and school environment.
Respond to and assist with behavioral crises and de-escalation, utilizing evidence-based crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate student progress and guide instructional and behavioral decision-making.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and administrators to ensure consistent implementation of behavioral interventions.
Support the development of social skills, self-regulation, communication, and adaptive behaviors across school settings.
