Job Description

Southampton Schools Food Service Department is seeking a dependable, energetic and customer-focused Food Service Worker.

Position Start: 2026-2027 School Year

Hours: 3.0 hours/day

Location: Elementary School and Intermediate School (split between schools)

Salary/Pay Scale: $24 per hour 

Qualifications: 

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. 
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of the application of sanitation practices in the preparation of food and the ability to work as part of a team to prepare meals.

Job Qualifications

• NYS Department of Education Fingerprinting Clearance
• Candidates employed in a school must attend ongoing continuing education/training as required by the Food and Nutrition Service of the United States Department.of Agriculture.
