Job Description

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking a qualified Supplemental 1:1 Aide to provide student support at Southampton High School during the school year.

Position Details

Location: Southampton High School
Department: Special Education
Start Date: September 8, 2026
End Date: June 24, 2027
Positions Available: 1

Responsibilities

• Provide individual 1:1 support to an assigned student.
• Assist the student with participation in the educational program and school activities.
• Implement supports and accommodations as directed by appropriate instructional and special education staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support the student's educational, behavioral, and social needs.
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow all District procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must meet NYSED requirements to serve as a Supplemental 1:1 Aide.
• High School Diploma
• Fingerprint Clearance through NYS Department of Education
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and support staff.
• Ability to follow student-specific plans, accommodations, and staff direction.

 

Job Qualifications

Compensation: In accordance with the applicable contractual or Board-approved rate.
