Job Description

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking qualified applicants for a 6th Grade Math Leave Replacement Teacher at Southampton Intermediate School.

Position: Leave Replacement
Start Date: October 5, 2026
End Date: November 30, 2026
Compensation: As per STA Contract

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, student-centered mathematics instruction for 6th grade students.
• Deliver instruction aligned with the 6th grade mathematics curriculum.
• Utilize Ready Math and participate in training for the program prior to the start of the assignment.
• Perform other instructional responsibilities associated with the classroom assignment.

Requirements

• Appropriate Elementary Certification with expertise in mathematics or Mathematics 7–12 Certification with Grades 5–6 Extension.
• Strong foundation in 6th grade mathematics.
• Experience developing engaging, student-centered mathematics lessons.
• Familiarity with Ready Math or willingness to be trained in the program prior to beginning the assignment.
