Job Description

The Southampton Union Free School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Custodial Worker I.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and grounds, setting up rooms for events and activities, and assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and custodial duties.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies as required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Valid New York State Driver's License preferred.
• Experience in custodial, maintenance, or facilities work preferred but not required.

This position is subject to Suffolk County Civil Service rules and regulations.
