Job Description

Monday through Thursday for Summer Food service Program- food service workers are needed to run a Summer Food Service Program at Southampton Intermediate School. Staff will assist in the preparation, service and distribution of  nutritious meals to children in a safe, welcoming environment while ensuring compliance with program guidelines.  Typical duties include washing and preparing produce, preparing sandwiches and other food items in bulk, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces at the beginning and end of each shift. Light manual labor and some record keeping required.

Qualifications: 

• NYS Department of Education Fingerprint clearance and a good working knowledge of the application of sanitation practices in the preparation of food and ability to work as part of a team to prepare meals.
• Prior food service experience in a school preferred.
• Current food service employees in our district preferred.

Building: Summer Food Service at SIS ( this year, usually at SHS)

Position Dates: July 6-August 14th  (up to 5.5 hours/day)
