The Basketball Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the official scorebook during interscholastic basketball contests and ensuring the accurate recording of game statistics, fouls, timeouts, and other official game information. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with game officials, scorekeepers, timers, and athletic staff to support the efficient operation of home basketball contests. Position Details Appointment Type: Annual Appointment Location: Southampton High School Compensation: $103.00 per game, in accordance with the Southampton Teachers Association (STA) Agreement. Responsibilities - Maintain the official scorebook for basketball games.
- Accurately record player participation, scoring, fouls, timeouts, and other official game statistics.
- Work closely with game officials, timekeepers, and athletic staff throughout contests.
- Arrive prior to scheduled game time and remain until all scorekeeping responsibilities are complete.
- Ensure game records are accurate and completed in accordance with applicable rules.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
